This book, during the whole process that led me to write it, was never planned to see the public light at some point, however, once the decision to do it was made, I felt that it would not be complete if it was not presented by someone else, so I decided to call Antonio (who is something like the great-great-grandson of my great-grandfather) to ask him to do me the favor of writing a prologue by way of presentation and for that, I sent him a copy of my book project. The result was nothing short of amazing, he captured the content of the book perfectly and this website would not be complete without it:

The book that is in your hands is an essay to idyllic love, it is the confession of a man terribly in love, overflowing his being, before the uncontainable feeling that he shares with his lyrics, lyrics that become soft caresses in the right voice and ear.

The poetry captured in these pages, emanates from the blood of an author with poetic heritage, behind a lineage of more than 3 centuries, in which the Rivas descendants have shown in various stages the passions for art and culture, being characteristic in this dynasty the torrid passions and their peculiar way of loving intensely with the pure banner of love.

These lines show not only the love of a man and the inspiration that a woman provokes, this poetry speaks of a whole life suffering and enjoying love, of an extreme, passionate, eternal love... love that, like Cyrano, moves and governs the author's life. Yes, a love out of all reality, a perfect love that transcends time and space, that invites you to read again and again, moved, each of the letters that tear the heart of those who suffer the absence of their beloved.

A heart that loves like this is worthy of being heard and spread, that is why Agustín decides to give to the lovers of poetry his private collection, the summary of his love for this mysterious muse that at the end of each poem you will want to know and that some of us have already guessed, giving shape and face to Gabriela --the culprit of this book--. which flashes a beautiful and sublime way of shouting spiritual love, carnal love, but above all... platonic love. I am sure that you will not be satisfied with reading it only once and that you will dedicate more than one poem to a love that marked your heart.

At some point I had to decide to make a kind of cut, if I intended to publish it.

Those 187 poems are now 213 and maybe, in a couple of years, we will be able to publish a second part. For now there are several projects that we bring, the most immediate is its publication in hardcover format and later on we will translate it into English and French.
