MY LOVE OF YESTERDAY

My love of yesterday, my impossible dream,

you would be something real I want you feasible;

to be able to embrace you and eat you with kisses,

to sleep in your arms and love you forever.

To wake up looking at the sea of your green eyes,

to sail on it to lose myself in them,

to travel through its calm, storm, and swings,

but not to be shipwrecked in tides of disdain.

Your voice again came to shake me,

it brought in itself the strength of a time gone by;

if in other lives I was able to find you,

in each one of them, I have loved you for sure.

If in time the future brings us together again,

if perchance by Cronus we are linked,
